Why now? Because our young people cannot wait.
Violence. Killings. School suspensions. Addictions. Depression. And one young life lost to suicide is already one too many. Behind every headline is a child, a family, and a community asking, “What can we do?”
OUTPOUR Citywide Youth Worship Night is one way we are responding. We believe prevention includes reaching students before a crisis, and retention means staying connected so they know they belong. We are creating space for young people to receive prayer, encouragement, uplifting worship, and a word from God—and connect with caring adults who can keep walking alongside them.
We are stepping out on faith to make this night FREE, because cost should never keep a student from being in the room. We welcome supporters and community partners who will help make it possible. But our greatest request is this: Parents, bring your children. Youth leaders, bring your students. Churches, bring your youth groups.
Bring the student who is struggling quietly. Bring the one whose behavior has become a cry for help. Bring the one who seems fine but needs encouragement, too. Every student deserves to know: You are seen. You are loved. Your life matters. God has not forgotten you.
We cannot solve every challenge in one night, but we can begin connections that continue long after it ends. Let’s show up for our youth now.
