THE PURE-N-HEART ORIGIN STORY
Where Arts, Technology, and Purpose Converge
Pure-N-Heart began with a simple vision: use music to open doors of possibility for young people.
In 2003, while many were watching the rise of a teenage LeBron or replaying Michael Jordan’s last dance, Alphaeus and Alexias “Alph & Lex” Anderson were stepping into a calling of their own, one that would spark a youth movement with global reach.
The Beginning: A Choir That Became a Movement
At just 21 years old, Alphaeus launched what would become one of the largest youth gospel choirs in the country. Pure-N-Heart started humbly, with one child, one song, and one step of faith, but grew into a thriving Youth Nation where hundreds of young people found confidence, community, and a stage for their gifts.
Parents brought their children.
Students invited their friends.
Youth traveled from multiple states just to be a part.Pure-N-Heart became more than a choir...it became a generation-shaping force.
Expanding the Vision: From Arts to Technology
As the organization grew, the Andersons saw another need emerging—one that could no longer be ignored.
While their students were thriving artistically, they were drifting further away from the world of technology. Not because they lacked interest, but because they lacked access, guidance, and representation. Too many were perpetual consumers of tech, not creators, innovators, or leaders.
Alphaeus and Alexias knew that had to change.
Drawing from their unique backgrounds...Alphaeus as a celebrated musician and professor, and Alexias as a cybersecurity executive and Berklee-trained music supervisor, they expanded Pure-N-Heart into the Pure-N-Heart Arts & Technology Foundation.
Their mission became clear:
Bridge the gap.
Build creators, not just consumers.
Equip every student, regardless of background, to lead in music, technology, and society. The Leaders Behind the Vision
